Not only can you create a lot of free traffic from the hubs you create, but you can also make money from each individual hub in several different ways.
HubPages has made it extremely easy for you to incorporate Google Adsense into your hubs, all you do is add your Adsense ID number and the ads will appear automatically. The only downfall is that only 60% of ad impressions will have your Adsense ID, and the other 40% will have the ID number for HubPages. But when you think about it, you are able to write, and upload your content without having to pay for any hosting fees. So really that is not a bad idea.
Kontera is a type of contextual links which appear within your content. It works basically the same as Google Adsense, where you get paid whenever someone clicks. Again you share the ad impressions with Hubpages, where your ID only shows up 60% of the time. Kontera however, is only suitable for those with high volumes of traffic, because you need to make at least $5.00 each month in order for the money to roll over to the next month.
The EBay and Amazon modules are also a great way to increase your earnings. You can choose specifically which products you want to promote, or you simply enter a keyword and EBay and Amazon will pick the products for you. Again your ID will only show up 60% of the time.
If you don't have affiliate ID's for the above programs, just follow the links within HubPages and sign up from there.
You can also incorporate your affiliate links from any affiliate program directly into the content. This includes Click Bank, Amazon, EBay, Share-A-Sale, you name it, and you keep 100% of the earnings, even from Amazon and EBay because your ID's are directly in the links and will not change.
The only thing to watch out for is not to add more than two links to one site within a hub. HubPages is very strict about this, and if they catch you with more than two links pointing to one site, they may remove your hub until you remove the links.
They also have a rule that states no duplicate content, so make sure that you create hubs with original content.
If you have a YouTube video that you would like to show off, you can also do that on HubPages, or if you don't have your own, you can post other videos done by other people.
HubPages also has a Forum where you can ask questions, and participate in discussions. When helping others inside these forums, they may want to find out more about you, by clicking on your username and thus you'll be able to generate more traffic coming to your hubs.
