What is Dreamweaver
Dreamweaver is a popular Web Editor that is widely used to design professional looking websites. It is used by professionals as well as by those who have never created a website before.
The program allows you to create one page or multiple page websites by using a wysiwyg (what you see is what you get) editor. It allows you to have complete control of the layout, the color scheme and functionality of your website. These are a must-have, as most likely you will need to make changes to your site, as your business grows.
What Can it Do For You
Create Your Site. Dreamweaver allows you to start off with a blank page so that you can put it together from scratch, just the way you want it. It allows you to build tables, forms, drop-down menus, picture galleries, pop-up windows, play music and much more.
Preview. Then once you have created your site and like what you see in Dreamweaver, you can preview your pages in different browsers. The great thing with Dreamweaver is that you do not need to download all the different browsers, as it has a browser lab which allows you to check your website on multiple browsers.
Why do you need to preview your site in different browsers? I do not know all the technical reasons behind this, but each browser will render a slightly different view of your webpage. Therefore you need to test your site in at least the most popular browsers to make sure that everything lines up. From my experience it was mainly the margins that would be off, and had to be re-aligned or re-positioned so that it evens out.
Upload. Once you are satisfied with the way that your website looks in all the different browsers you can then upload it to the web.
Training
As with any program, you will need to know how to use Dreamweaver in order to be able to put your website together. Dreamweaver has put together some great video tutorials that walk you through the steps on how to use the program, how to create your site and upload it to the internet. These tutorials will teach you how to create a new document, how to add pictures and links, and how to work with stylesheets and frameworks and much more.
In addition, they also provide their users with an interactive forum where you can go and ask any questions that you may have.

Adobe is a great program, but it is on the pricey side. However, you can download a free 30-day trial to see whether or not the program is right for you.
