W3Schools is a great place to learn how to code your own website. They have a wide range of tutorials that will teach you everything you need to know. The tutorials cover topics such as HTML, XML, Browser Scripting, Server Scripting, Multimedia and Web Building.

The tutorials are neatly organized to make it easy for you to navigate through them. If you decide you want to skip to a specific topic, let's say JavaScript, it will automatically tell you that in order for you to understand the JavaScript tutorials you need to be familiar with HTML and XHTML. If you're not familiar with them, you simply go back and learn them before continuing on.

W3Schools makes it extremely easy for you to learn with their handy "Try it Yourself Editors." Here you can play around all you want with your own code or the code that is provided for you by changing specific characters and then view the different outcomes.

After you complete each tutorial you are prompted to take a quiz to see how well you understand the lesson. If you fail you simply go back and re-read the material before taking the quiz again, and if you pass you move on to the next lesson.
