Using Google Docs
Google Documents is basically a 3-in-1 replacement for Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint are three different programs, and so if you need to work on files created by all three programs, then guess what, you need all three programs running on your computer. This clutters up the desktop when you are working, and in my case, slows my computer down. Plus once you save your files they are in different locations and in different formats making it more difficult to find them when you need them.

But with Google Docs, you don't have this problem. All the files are in one location, and you can view them all, (or the titles of them all) in the folders, plus you can view all the folders inside the folders. I find this to be a tremendous time saver because you can search the folders and files in a much more convenient way.

Plus another great feature about Google docs is that none of those files are stored on your hard drive; thus your computer will never be slowed down again by all these word documents, or spreadsheets. To access your documents you simply go online and log into your Gmail account, and you can do this from any computer around the world provided it has access to the internet.

Google Docs also acts like an email client so to speak, if you have people working with you, or for you, you can share all your files with them. You can specify which files you want to share, and with whom you want to share them with. You can also specify who can edit your files, and who can only view them.

When others edit your files, Google docs keeps track of all changes made to the document, like by whom the changes were made, when they were made, and you can then decide whether or not you like the changes.

And if you are still not convinced to switch to Google Docs, there is more; you can create forms, and have easy access to tons of templates for calendars, schedules, invoices, resumes, finances, holidays, and so many more. And again, the great thing is that you don't have to download any of them in order to use them. Simply click on the template that you want, and begin your work; when you are done, simply save it with the rest of your files.
