PhotoBlogging
A photoblog is where you use photos rather than text to get the message across. Photoblogs can be hosted on any kind of blogging platform, but there also a few platforms like Fotolog, and Flickr, which are specifically designed for photoblogging.
Podcasting
A podcast is in a digital media form of audio or video which the users can download and listen or watch offline. These are often released in episodes where one episode builds on the previous.
Microblogging
Microblogging is where your blog entries are very short. These could consist of a short sentence or two, a picture, video or a basic description an article elsewhere online with a link to it.
Personal
Many bloggers like to blog about their personal lives. They simply blog about their passions, hobbies, how-to's, achievements, struggles and so on. The topics are as vast as what goes in the universe.
A lot of bloggers who blog about their personal lives choose not to make any money with their blogs, but others put up related ads and they are able to make their living just by blogging about what they enjoy most.
Business
Many businesses like to keep a blog so that they can keep their customers updated of changes, new products or events as well as answer any questions which they may have. This saves them time having to deal with each individual customer.
Blogs are also very interactive where customers can get in touch with the business on a more personal level. Blogs are also a good way for you to obtain positive feedback on your products which will help you to draw in new customers.
Whether you are blogging for personal or business reasons you can use any type of blog or a combination of all forms to make your blog unique. It does not have to take a lot of your time to blog, but it does take some discipline to make regular updates.
